As a therapist I work hard to help couples improve and enrich their relationships. Sometimes, however, separation and
divorce are the unfortunate outcome of intimate relationships in which one or both partners struggle with the effects of trauma.
In addition, the high level of tension and conflict that are present in any family when parents are going through these
transitions can have a traumatizing impact on everyone in the family, especially the children.
As someone who has a deep and abiding belief in the welfare of families, I recently added the roles of mediator and Collaborative
Communications Specialist* to my practice. I am also part owner of a training company that teaches attorneys, mental health,
and financial professionals basic and advanced skills in Collaborative Practice. For more information please see the links
below.
*The Collaborative Communications Specialist is a neutral mental health professional who works with the two parties and
the Collaborative team to facilitate and case manage the Collaborative process.
